Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 October 2026

1. Who provides the Service

The Service is provided by Sustifi.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Sustifi ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by these terms, please do not use this service.

3. Description of Service

Sustifi provides carbon footprint tracking and analysis, and issues Carbon Footprint Statements: records of self-reported figures that Sustifi calculates from cited emission factors. We help businesses and individuals monitor and reduce their environmental impact.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Plans, prices and payment

All plans are currently free during the beta. We take no payments and will not charge you unless you expressly agree to a paid plan.

When paid plans launch, the following terms will apply to them:

  • Prices are shown before you subscribe. Prices for consumers include VAT.
  • A paid subscription renews automatically for the same period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel it. We remind you before a yearly subscription renews, and tell you about any price change before it applies to you.
  • You can cancel at any time in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. When you subscribe, we ask whether you want the service to start immediately; if you do and then withdraw, you pay only for the days you used.
  • When you withdraw, we refund your payment, less any amount for days already used, within 14 days, using the payment method you used. Your other rights as a consumer under mandatory law are not affected.
  • Business customers in another EU country with a valid VAT ID may be invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism.

6. Ending your account

You can end your account at any time:

  • Delete your account in your profile settings.
  • Your account then enters a 30-day grace period. During it your public directory listing, Carbon Footprint Statements and badges are hidden from the public.
  • After 30 days your account and its data are permanently deleted, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • A Carbon Footprint Statement stays valid for the year it covers whatever plan you are on; ending a paid plan does not withdraw it. It is removed only when your data is permanently deleted.

To restore your account during the grace period, sign in and choose to restore it.

7. Data Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate carbon footprint calculations, the data provided is for informational purposes only. Users should verify critical data independently when making business decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Sustifi and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Sustifi is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of that country.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@susti.fi; we will try to resolve it with you. If you are a consumer and we cannot agree, you can ask the Finnish Consumer Advisory Service (kuluttajaneuvonta) for help and then take the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta, kuluttajariita.fi). As a consumer you can also bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence. Other disputes are settled by a competent district court in Finland.

11. Changes to Terms

We may change these terms. We publish the new terms on this page and tell registered users about material changes before they take effect.

12. Contact Us
